About the project
waschfrieden.ch is an independent project by Aleksandar Tubin, who writes the satirical book series “Not My Fault” under the name Alex Tubin.
For the laundry room volume, we collected surveys, legal provisions and house rules about the Swiss laundry room. One thing became clear: almost every dispute starts with unclear rules or misunderstandings – often simply with language. That is how the tools on this site came about.
We are not based in Switzerland but in Bosnia and Herzegovina – yet many people from our region live in Switzerland and know the laundry room first-hand.

The book
«Nicht meine Schuld – Die Waschküche» (“Not My Fault – The Laundry Room”) is a satirical anti-guide: Beat moves into Sonnenhalde 3 and spends a year doing everything wrong in the laundry room – from keeping the key overnight to the conciliation authority. Every terrible tip is backed by real surveys, Swiss law and studies, and every chapter ends with honest advice for peace in the building.
